Creativity for Sustainability: Coaching, Residencies, Art & Community
Using art to heal and change the world!
Using art to heal and change the world!
Are you a writer? a painter? a sculptor? a mom? a decent human being who just wants the gifts that come with confidence in one's own creative expression to help you do what you do on the daily?
Everyone in a body has an innate call to creativity and an authentic sense of self expression that can change this world for the better.
Whether you're wanting to double down on your own creative commitment to yourself or the world, I am just the right combination of trusted advisor, creativity coach, permission slip and cheerleader who celebrates your micro-movements and helps you architect your big successes.
In my creativity coaching practice, I use of design thinking techniques honed in Silicon Valley, the principles of Transformative Art studied in the School of Arts & Consciousness, the deep education in Art & Healing earned through powerful apprenticeships with spiritual masters, and the real and lasting commitment I've made to the care and cultivation of Women's Spirituality.
I live, in part, to invite people into a deeper sense of their own creative gifts and talents and how using these can, does and will continue to change and shape what is possible in and for the world.
Using recyclables and nature's bounty, everyday ephemera, fancy and frugal art materials, symbolic process, and alchemy, I work to effect an orchestration of transformative and healing modalities that accompany willing creatives on their journey to the fullest creative expression of their human creative purpose.
In my own art practice, I use the creative and healing tools of collage, assemblage, recycling, upcycling, automatic writing, creative writing, poetic medicine, (oral and written), technology enhanced video storytelling, magick markers, the Open Studio Techne, acrylic painting, beading, mural art, installation, social media posts and iphone photography to transform and translate my world.
As a performance poet and creative writer, I allow myself to live out loud and dare myself to share the bravest truths I can bear to tell in the precision of here and now in service to sustainability--my own, and human life on earth.
Beth is a semi-retired Silicon Valley Corporate Culture Creator, and resumes her role as creative consultant and coach, special events magician, and practiced C-level Executive Assistant/Culture Change Specialist for hire on a contract basis from time to time.
She's relocated from the bay area to Crestline--a little town in the San Bernadino National Forest on a mountain overlooking Southern California to resume her career as a serial gallery owner, arts experience facilitator, transformative artist and "hyper personal self-expression saves lives" educator.
Trained in design thinking and Transformative Art, she is a perfect thought provoker for transforming corporate and community culture, and prefers to work with earnest small groups or 1:1 in her signature emboldenment coaching sessions on matters central to personal transformation.
Beth is also a masterful planner of "team building", seminar/summit based off-sites, and meaningful culture change curriculum design, curation and facilitation for any group, business, organization or cause that is in right alignment with her own path on the arc that bends toward justice.
Beth works with the principles of radical inclusion and unconditional love and uses the combination to generate daily celebrations that give each member of the communities she works with their way to humm and buzz with energy, inspiration, gratitude and joy--knowing their individual contributions to community are and must be met with recognized acceptance, celebration, worth, value, and meaning.
Beth opened her first gallery in Los Angeles in 1987, and has been a founder for unique arts experience and education spaces ever since. She's co-created creative spaces in LA, London, Kansas City, San Francisco, Oakland's Fruitvale and Pacifica. Intentional improvisational collaboration is Beth’s favorite art form.
Beth earned her MA in Transformative Art from the Department of Arts & Consciousness at JFK University when the program was in the Berkeley Arts Annex. Beth went on to begin and then abandon her PhD pursuits in Women’s Spirituality in the School of Philosophy & Religion at California Institute of Integral Studies.
Beth Benson, @artmakerpoet, now calling herself the Crestline Creatrix, is a Transformative Artist using every day art materials and sacred intention to weave webs of connection for the healing, hopeful experience of her clients, collaborators, readers and viewers.
Beth bravely explores her own connections in hyper personal confessional writing about the personal, relationship, family, community and ecological truths that inform the contrasts and intersections inside climate and political realities. She consciously collaborates with her facebook readership to create community and publish everyish day.
She is her best work in progress to date.
Sometimes I record my poetry and musings...
